| 1830 |
| Small groups of Methodists met in what was known as Middletown. Lay leaders held meetings in their homes to teach others about Jesus. |
| 1843 |
| Small groups had grown in numbers and Middletown became a preaching point on the Monticello circuit although no church building existed yet. |
| 1855 |
| Our fledgling congregation pooled its resources to build their dream of a new church. It was simple by today’s standards with wood burning stoves and kerosene lights, but it was home. |
| 1894 |
| A minister was assigned to our church but the congregation had already outgrown their building. Eventually the decision was made to build another church at Lincoln and Dunbar streets. |
| 1997 |
| An 18.4-acre site was purchased at the corner of Sunny Acres and South Mahomet roads in Mahomet for the purpose of constructing a new church.
The first phase of the building was completed in May of 2000. It is a blend of contemporary and traditional styles. It has 17,500 square feet and includes the following features:
